Justin's Story - "Have a Heart"

Based on the true story about our son Justin. The theme song should be playing now if you have 'mp3' capability in your browser. I have the screenplay and a treatment. “Have a Heart” is registered with the WGA.

Synopsis

Justin Pittaway was born in 1995 with a severe heart deformity requiring a heart transplant. He was given 1-3 weeks to live without a new heart.
As his parents, we were stunned. We prayed for a miracle. We had to travel 1000 miles to get to the best facility for infant heart transplants, only to find a baby born the same day as Justin with compatible blood type and also given only 1-3 weeks to live was also waiting for a donor. The problem was that donor hearts are only found about once every 5 weeks.

NOTE- an offer was made to produce this story in 1995 by MGM, this shows the story success potential is there.

The local TV news stations began reporting about the "2 babies competing for a heart". the odds were slim either baby would live; which baby would be chosen to die?

Justin Update:

When Justin was 4 we moved to Nashville to have him followed at Vanderbilt U. Med. Ctr. It is the most wonderful facility in a mild climate and has been very good for Justin. He has had hundreds of I.V. needles, uncomfortable procedures, been dead 3 times, had several heart attacks, and spent almost 2 years of his life in hospitals. He missed a lot of school over the years but when he was not ill he was full of love for everyone. He was so cute people were drawn to him wherever we went. He had a charisma unlike anyone I know and loves everyone unconditionally. He went home to be with Jesus May 27th, 2005.

I believe it is providential that now is the time to produce this wonderful story of hope which shows how great a nation we really are. It will promote organ donor awareness and also be extremely entertaining with a happy ending. It also has a lot of drama and tension with back story and sub-plots that make it an all around winning story for the big screen.

I also have several other Works In Progress as well as songs with scripts for music videos.

E-mail Matt Pittaway, producer.
