I preached Christ for 25 years, and I still believe He was a prophet of the Old Hebrew God YhWh, or Yih-Hoe-Vaw phonetically. However His true words were misinterpreted by many, as were those of the apostle Paul (folks forget we're still human). The people who put together the "Holy" bible, altho prolly sincere, were newly escaped from Roman Catholicism and were just beginning to see thru the matrix a little bit. Some were fascists and anti-semetic, and ended their lives in the mental hospital; not someone you want to guide your eternal soul.
MUCH of the original scrolls etc. were culled out, leaving a mystery book which makes no freakin sense in many parts, and in others requires a complete disavowal of obvious scientific knowledge. A little theology and hermeneutics can help, but it also tends to dampen faith (knowledge puffs up but love edifies).
