The Holy Anointing Oil
“Only for Holy Work”
Exodus 30:25-30
It becomes a holy anointing oil; and anoint the tent of the congregation
therewith and the ark of the witness and the table and all his instruments and
the menorah and his instruments and the sacrifice alter of incense and the
sacrifice alter of holocaust and all his instruments; and the laver and his
base: and hallow them and they become a holy of holies: whatever touches them
becomes hallowed: and anoint Aharon and his sons and hallow them to priest the
priesthood to me.
We are His Priesthood
Apocalypse 1:5-6
To Him who loved us and bathed us from our sins in His own blood and made us
sovereigns and priests to Elohim and His father to Him be glory and power to
the eons of the eons
Amen.
1 Peter 2:4-5
coming to Him a living stone; disapproved indeed by humanity but with Elohim,
select, honorable; and you yourselves, as living stones are built a spiritual
house--a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices, well -- received to
Elohim through Yah Shua Messiah
1 Peter 2:9-10
but you are a select genos, a sovereign priesthood, a holy goyim a peculiar
acquisition to Himself; to evangelize the exultation of Him who called you from
darkness into His marvelous light: who in time past were, Not a People but are
now, People of Elohim: who had been, Not mercied, and now, Mercied.
2 Peter 1:19-21
We also have a steadfast word of prophecy; which you do well to heed, as to a
light manifesting in an obscure place, until the day thoroughly dawn and the
day phospherescence arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that not any
prophecy of the scripture becomes by personal explanation: for no prophecy was
ever brought by the will of humanity: but holy humans of Elohim spoke--borne by
the Holy Spirit.
Exodus 30:22-33,
22 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
23 And thou, take best spices--of liquid myrrh five hundred shekels, and of
sweet cinnamon the half--two hundred and fifty, and of sweet calamus two
hundred and fifty,
24 and of cassia five hundred, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive
oil a hin;
25 and make of it an oil of holy ointment, a perfume of perfumery after the
work of the perfumer: it shall be the holy anointing oil.
26 And thou shalt anoint the tent of meeting with it, and the ark of the
testimony,
27 and the table and all its utensils, and the lamp-stand and its utensils, and
the altar of incense,
28 and the altar of burnt-offering and all its utensils, and the laver and its
stand.
29 And thou shalt hallow them, that they may be most holy: whatever toucheth
them shall be holy.
30 And Aaron and his sons thou shalt anoint, and shalt hallow them, that they
may serve me as priests.
(Special warning about use) This oil is a Holy thing, It is an oil for the
priests and ministers (we are all a kingdom of priests unto our God) to pray,
and ordain, Anoint, and consecrate the house; And should be used as such -- It
is not a perfume, etc.....
Ex 30:31 And thou shalt speak to the children of Israel, saying, A holy
anointing oil shall this be unto me throughout your generations.

continued to be made even after the first tabernacle-see proof & commentary

Detailed
description of Ingredients in the Holy Anointing Oil
found in Ex 30
MYRRH (Commiphora Myrrha) or
SWEET MYRRH (Commiphora erhthrea-glabrascens)
(Hebrew=MOR,
MOWR) Strongs# 4753 :-as distilling in drops
This was the gum or viscid white liquid which flows from a tree resembling the
acacia, found in Africa and Arabia, the
Balsamodendron myrrha of botanists. Myrrh has many healing qualities, and
properties such as Anti-inflamitory, antimicrobial, antiphlogistic, antiseptic,
astringent, expectorant, fungicidal, sedative, stimulant, stomachic, tonic,
& vulnerary actions..
CINNAMON (Cinnamomum
Zeylanicum)
Heb. Qinnamown
Stongs# 7076 :-(as in upright rolls),
the Cinnamomum zeylanicum of botanists, a tree of the Laurel family, which
grows only in India on the
Malabar coast, in Ceylon, and China. There is no trace of it in Egypt, and it
was unknown in Syria. The inner rind when
dried and rolled into cylinders forms the cinnamon of commerce. The fruit and
coarser pieces of bark when boiled
yield a fragrant oil. It was one of the principal ingredients in the holy
anointing oil #Ex 30:23 It is mentioned elsewhere
only in #Pr 7:17, Solomon 4:14, Re 18:13 The mention of it indicates a very
early and extensive commerce carried on between Palestine and the East.
Cinnamon was used as anthelmintic, antidiarrheal, antidote, antimicroial,
antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiputrescent, astingent, digestive,
stimulant......
Kaneh Besom aka Cannabis, or remotely possible,
Sweet Cane (Acorus Calamus)
Heb= qaneh,
Strongs#7070 :- reed, sweet flag, calamus, cane
The Latin for cane, Hebrew pronounced Kaneh Besom (Kaneh Bes believed by many to be Cannabis; see Scythians), mentioned #Ex 30:23 as one of the
ingredients in the holy anointing oil. Others believe it is one of
the sweet scents #Sol 4:14 and among the articles sold in the markets of Tyre
#Eze 27:19 The word designates an Oriental plant called the "sweet
flag," the acorus calamus of Linnaeus. It is elsewhere called "sweet
cane" #Isa 43:24, Jer 6:20 It has an aromatic smell, and when its knotted
stalk is cut and dried and reduced to powder, it forms an ingredient in the
most precious perfumes. It was not a native of Palestine, but was imported from
Arabia Felix or from India. Calamus grows like a reed near or in waters. The
plant itself literally raises the temperature in the air around it by 5 to 10
degrees.F. but has few if any healing or medicinal qualities whereas Cannabis has innumerable healing qualities, and in the oil has cured gangrene.
CASSIA Bark (Cinnamomum
Cassia)
Hebrew
=qiddah, Strongs#6916 & 7102:-cassia
i.e., "split." One of the principal spices of the holy anointing oil
#Ex 30:24 and an article of commerce #Eze 27:19 It is the inner bark of a tree
resembling the cinnamon (q.v.), the Cinnamomum cassia of
botanists, and was probably imported from India. 2. Hebrew pl. _ketzi'oth_ #Ps
45:8 Mentioned in connection with myrrh and aloes as being used to scent
garments. It was prepared from the peeled bark, and distilled to extract the
oils.
